Quantum of the Seas Ship Tour 2023

Quantum of the Seas in Hawaii

In 2023 we sailed Quantum of the Seas.  This amazing Royal Caribbean mega ship offers something for everyone!  This was our first time aboard Quantum class! She’s really lovely, large and tricked out with fun stuff like Oasis class, but also oriented to the sea and the views in a way Oasis class is not. Our cruise was a transpacific repositioning crossing from Hawaii to Vancouver. While in the middle of the Pacific, I marveled at how much this ship truly felt like an old school ocean liner. It has a really nice way it moves through the water, despite being a huge ship with over 4000 passengers, and it’s designed for cooler climate scenic cruising with lots of indoor spaces with phenomenal views. A huge solarium, a large covered pool in addition to an outdoor pool, the 270 aft facing lounge is a popular indoor gathering area with huge floor to ceiling windows with a view of the wake. Unlike older ships, this newer class of ships designed by Royal Caribbean, it also includes the Royal Promenade that is so popular and has many of the fun bells and whistles that are popular with families; i-Fly sky diving simulator, Flowrider surf simulator, and bumper cars. The North Star elevated viewing pod is popular with all ages.

A couple of notes: These are all our own photos. Some of the venues may have changed with recent ship upgrades.  We did not receive any compensation or free travel; these are our own impressions.

Cabins

Stairwells are well separated from hallways and elevators are tucked between twin stairwells on each cabin level, ensuring that no matter where you cabin is in the hallway, it is quiet. There are only a forward and aft stair on this ship rather than 3, in other ships and it does create a lot of back tracking to get to forward or aft locations.

Lots of artwork adorns each side of the stairwells

Cabin hallways are wide and bright, doors are recessed along the hallway, minimizing luggage clutter on departure day, and cleaning carts. Lots of folks decorate their doors.
