The old school way I organize my travel information in the new information age.
These days there is an app for everything. Every bit of my trip could be saved to a document on my phone or on the cloud, but long before there were apps and smart phones, I used ... a FOLDER. And there are a lot of reasons I still do! Phone batteries can die, ipads can get stolen, coffee can get spilled on a laptop rendering all the information in the device useless. In an era of redundancy, there is every reason to still believe in the FOLDER full of paper!
In my first attempt at a vlog...(very rough, I'll be the first to admit...here's hope with practice and better production values, they might even become watchable one day!) I explain how I use the old school folder to organize paper copies of all the important documents I collect while planning, as well as my spreadsheet itinerary and a packing list. While I will use an app to navigate the Paris Metro, use my phone to check into my flight and have all my email confirmations stored on the cloud, I always like to have a hard copy back up, and I apprecitate a graphic presentation of my trip itinerary. I hope you enjoy the presentation, (it's about 8 minutes long) and learn some new ideas for the next trip YOU might be planning!
